Meng Fanli meets with US-China business council delegation

Guangdong Governor Meng Fanli met with a delegation from the US-China Business Council (USCBC), led by President Sean Stein, in Guangzhou on April 9, discussing future economic cooperation and investment in the province.

Meng welcomed the delegation and acknowledged the USCBC's positive role in facilitating business exchanges between Guangdong and the United States. He highlighted Guangdong's position as a leader in China's reform and opening-up policy, citing its strong industrial base and skilled workforce. He expressed hope that the council would continue to encourage its member companies to expand their investment and partnerships with local businesses in both manufacturing and services.

The governor also reaffirmed Guangdong's commitment to improving its market-oriented, law-based, and internationally friendly business environment, ensuring quality services for foreign enterprises.

Stein and representatives from firms including ConocoPhillips, GE Vernova, Bank of America, Hasbro, TE Connectivity, United Family Healthcare and Qualcomm praised Guangdong's innovative climate and economic vitality. They identified the province as a prime investment destination for US companies and expressed strong interest in deepening practical cooperation to strengthen US-China economic ties.
