Zhang Guozhi, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and vice governor of Guangdong, met with Milos Vucevic, president of the Serbian Progressive Party and former prime minister of Serbia, in Guangzhou on May 22.
Zhang said that there has been a comprehensive development of friendly cooperation between Guangdong and Serbia in recent years, highlighting direct flight connectivity and investment by multiple Guangdong enterprises in the Balkan nation.
He said he was looking forward to expanding practical cooperation in trade, education, science and technology, as well as artificial intelligence and green development, while strengthening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Vucevic said Serbia and Guangdong share a solid foundation and broad space for cooperation. He expressed hope that the visit would catalyze deeper collaboration in trade, education, smart cities and agriculture, and welcomed more Guangdong enterprises to invest and establish operations in Serbia.
During his stay in Guangdong, Vucevic also visited the Guangzhou "Suizhiguan" Urban Operation Management Hub, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group and the Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum.
