On June 16, the China-Pacific Island Countries multilateral cooperation platforms dialogue was held in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province.
The event gathered diplomatic envoys and representatives from multiple Pacific island countries, as well as delegates of the seven China-Pacific Island Countries cooperation platforms, relevant universities, think tanks, enterprises and institutions.
Li Hongzhi said the China-Pacific Island Countries Reserve of Emergency Supplies was the first multilateral cooperation platform between the two sides and has provided rapid relief to disaster-stricken island countries since its launch.
Guangdong is ready to take the reserve as a cooperation fulcrum to deepen pragmatic cooperation in disaster prevention, mitigation and emergency rescue, and enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Pacific island countries.
At the briefing, representatives of all cooperation platforms presented their respective cooperation outcomes and exchanged views on future work plans for advancing pragmatic cooperation.
