Guangzhou French School for Foreign Nationals, formerly known as École Française Internationale de Canton (EFIC), inaugurated its new campus in Guangzhou on June 22. Chen Guangjun, Deputy Director, attended the inauguration ceremony.
The event was attended by Bertrand Lortholary, French Ambassador to China, Laurent Olharan, French Consul General in Guangzhou, and Xu Shimin, supervisor-general of Guangdong Provincial Education Department, as well as local government and foreign affairs officials.
Coinciding with the inauguration, the school obtained its official school-running license.
Delphine Dalloz, chair of the school council, remarked that the milestone advances the institution's long-term growth in South China and underscores Guangdong's consistent backing for Sino-French educational exchanges.
Founded in 1997, the school hosts nearly 200 students from over 25 nations, offering programs in French, English, and Chinese. The new campus has a capacity of 500 students and features modern teaching facilities that meet international standards.
