The Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou held its Canada Day Reception on June 23. Yuan Baocheng, vice chairman of CPPCC Guangdong Provincial Committee, attended and delivered remarks.
Yuan said Guangdong attaches great importance to friendly ties with Canada, yielding fruitful cooperation outcomes in culture, higher education and healthcare.
As a pacesetter for China's reform and opening-up, Guangdong will leverage the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting to foster a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized business environment.
Guangdong will cooperate with Canadian partners to implement the bilateral leaders' consensus, broadening practical collaboration across trade and investment, agricultural deep processing, clean energy, people-to-people exchanges, and research and education, to inject fresh momentum into China-Canada relations.
