Saudi Arabia's Consul General in Guangzhou, Ali Ibrahim Al-Haji, led a delegation to Nansha district to align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and expand cooperation in advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and trade investment.
At a dedicated symposium, the two sides held in-depth discussions on cross-border industrial collaboration, technological complementarity and economic and trade investment. Liu Xiaotong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nansha District Committee and director of the United Front Work Department, presented the region's geographical advantages and industrial strengths, saying that its GDP surpassed 240 billion yuan ($35.37 billion) last year and it now hosts over 5,300 foreign-funded enterprises and 316 Fortune Global 500 projects. She invited more Saudi enterprises and investment funds to explore local investment opportunities.

Al-Haji praised the district's advances in high-end manufacturing and AI, stressing China's key role in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. He underscored the two nations' recent consensus on energy and low-carbon development, and expressed hope to build regular channels for deeper high-value-added cooperation.
The delegation also toured leading local enterprises in AI and new materials. Both sides agreed to enhance mutual trust and advance pragmatic cooperation to boost high-quality China-Saudi economic and trade ties.
