Chen Guangjun, deputy director-general of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, met with Georgia Andreadi, the newly appointed consul general of Greece in Guangzhou, on November 25.
Chen warmly welcomed Andreadi and emphasized the strong ties between the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office and the Consulate General of Greece in Guangzhou. He highlighted the progress made in fostering exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and Greece in areas such as trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism. Noting Guangdong's vast market and competitive advantages in industries such as the digital economy, new energy vehicles, and green energy, Chen expressed a desire to work closely with the Consulate General to explore untapped potential, expand trade, boost bilateral investment, and promote high-level visits.
Andreadi expressed her excitement about serving in Guangdong, one of China's most economically dynamic regions. She noted Greece's improving economic outlook and its strong interest in enhancing trade and investment collaboration with China. She said she hoped to promote high-quality Greek products, fashion designs, and leisure culture representing the Greek lifestyle, and deepen collaboration in areas such as green economy, renewable energy, shipping and logistics, and port infrastructure, further enriching the bilateral relationship.
