On Jan 13, Qian Hongjie, vice-president of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (GPAFFC), attended Sudan's National Day reception at the Consulate General of Sudan in Guangzhou.

In her speech, she praised Sudan's vast expanses of land, rich cultural and natural resources, and vibrant civilization.

Qian highlighted Sudan's efforts to maintain stability, boost economic growth, and improve the welfare of its citizens. She noted Sudan's resilience and vitality in recent years.

Qian emphasized that Guangdong will follow the key agreements made by the two nations' leaders during the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. Guangdong is committed to principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation. The province aims to enhance friendly exchanges and boost cooperation with Sudan in various fields.
